Saving generations of knowledge, together. Let’s inspire the next set of creators.
Our mission is to preserve the art of craft in the American fashion industry through generational knowledge transfer, reciprocal mentorships, and hands-on training. If you are committed to helping specialty trades thrive, pledge support or apply to become either an apprentice or a mentor.
Discover ways that organizations can support the Closely Crafted mission. Sign a letter of support, learn more about financial donations, and discover opportunities to host trainees.
If you are at least 18 years old, we invite you to apply for our upcoming training program, beginning in Spring 2024. Deadline to apply for Spring 2024 opportunities is February 12 2024.
We are currently seeking individuals who are interested in receiving training and pursuing long term careers in the artisan fields of Pleating or Flower making. Based on merit, full time entry level employment opportunities are available following the supported training period. Please see job descriptions for additional information.
We appreciate your patience and reserve the right to hold onto applications for a year to find the right pairings and make informed introductions. Formal experience is not required to apply, but applicants must be willing to relocate to New York City if they do not live here already.
